about

In mid 2020, Aftrlyfe release his Worlds Collide ft. Rider Shafique EP to wide acclaim including comparisons to Massive Attack.
With lyrics and melodies so strong, we couldn’t turn down the opportunity to remix these tunes and got some great artists from the Muti Music roster to contribute their take on the tunes.

Jake Robertz delivers his version of Babylon a Burn as a blend of Dancehall influences and some tough halftime Drum & Bass, it is a flavor that
Original artwork by Seth Grym remixed by Thom Golia Art Rider Shafique has excelled in, and this one is one of the tunes where his voice fits the beats like a glove. Dov1/ Kwiyo then takes on Dive Deep and shifts our gears into a Garage version of the tune. Utilizing the lush pads and skanking guitar for a strong atmosphere, the tune the drops into some driving baselines that are accented with the sultry and softer vocals from Silke, that provide the perfect way to offset the strong male vocals by Rider Shafique, this version is a great one to drift away on and imagine who you’ll be diving deep with next. Rise from the Ashes is then remixed by dela Moon, known for her Drum & Bass as much as she is for managing to shift the gears of any mix and she does exactly that in this mix that starts as a halftime tune, riding a tough low end and builds up into a rolling Drum & Bass tune, she allows plenty of space for both massive low end bass as well as the driving vocals by Rider Shafique that are lightly augmented with gentle synth stabs.
