about

Quanta takes us back to Dubstep roots with the focus being on the use of space, large sub-bass, elegant dub beats and then made to come alive as if by magic with sophisticated polyrhythms, exemplified this time by Janover’s hammered dulcimer.
Every so often a collaboration comes along that was not easily foreseen and yet when it happens it seems like it was always in the works. Here are two musicians highly accomplished in their own rights and from seemingly far ends of a spectrum that blend beautifully and even bring back something to Dubstep that many have been missing.
Janover is an innovative producer, hammered dulcimer player and percussionist, known for his production and performance as part of Zilla, Praang, Sporque (with Vibesquad and Ooah) and of course Lynx & Janover. He is as likely to blow you away with his music as he is by doing one of his teachings on the unified field theory of Nassim Haramein.
Djunya on the other hand is a known bass music producer having been featured on a plethora of Dubstep labels including SMOG, Brap Dem!, Muti Music, Subway, Surefire Sounds, Immerse, Blipswitch Digital, Full Melt Recordings, ihatefun Recordings, Dubs Alive and many more including some deep and heavy collaborations with Headhunter, Antiserum, some Trap / Future-Bass bombs with TASO and even an official remix of Reggae artist Cutty Ranks.
